Full Job Description
The Normal Brand is a family owned, fast-growing, apparel brand that sells men’s/women’s clothing and accessories online and in over 600 stores. We have 9 stores, (6 opened in the last 13 months) are growing, and want someone to help maximize profitability and employee retention, lead managers, and assist with continued retail expansion. This is a high growth potential role and it involves travel.
We want someone competitive, with a business mindset, and high emotional awareness.
Responsibilities:
Our mission is to make people’s days better, sell clothes, and have fun. Our creed is to greet every guest at the door with a smile, suggest 1+ items, and say goodbye using the guest’s name. In addition to making people’s days better, the job has responsibilities.
- Ensure everyone in store knows and practices our creed and mission on day 1.
- Breakdown store goals into performance indicators, develop a strategy, and inspire store leaders to execute it.
- Take a business approach with each store “How can I make this specific store more profitable?.”
- Evaluate selling behavior and product placement to create strategies for maximum profitability.
- Recruit, attract, and develop top talent.
- Coach Store Managers weekly.
- Communicate information from the main office to the stores and vice versa.
- Ensure each store has at least one event per month.
- Review stores schedules to maximize scheduling efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend product replenishment.
- Ensure stores follow Normal merchandising standards.
- Help with new store openings.
- Be radically transparent and direct when coaching store managers and store teams.
- Demonstrate our core values and principles and demand the same of store teams.
Requirements
Above all, a person who joins our team must be: humble, hungry, smart, solution driven, and take full ownership of their work and those they lead. Below are other things we are looking for:
- 3+ years retail apparel management experience
- Curiosity
- Understanding of the Retail Business.
- Independent, goal oriented, data driven, competitive, and positive energy.
- Eager to learn through direct feedback and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter who sets goals and works hard to achieve them.
- Inventory integrity
- People person- approachable, and friendly.
- Flexible availability, nights, weekends, and holidays.
What will make you stand out:
- Having an innate desire to be the best.
- Work as if you are an owner.
- Multi-unit Store Manager.
- Fashion/ apparel industry experience.
- Proficiency with Shopify and Shopify POS.
- Excellent fashion sense.
- Experience as an apparel buyer.
