WinTech Staff Accountant Position
WinTech is seeking a Staff Accountant with a strong understanding of standard principles of accounting and financial procedures, this position will maintain both primary and support responsibilities in both day-to-day Accounting/Finance processes, as well as the month end close function. This is a non-exempt position and reports to the Controller.
Potential Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform and/or support Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivable.
- Maintain and/or support company credit card program working with provider, users, and leadership to maximize benefits, as well as complete ERP journal positing and reconciliation.
- Administration and/or support for related to company sales related tax programs.
- Preparation and/or assistance in any external commission program including payment, tracking, entries, and reconciliations.
- Processing employee expense reports for payment including any petty cash reconciliation.
- Preparation of any assigned journal entries and associated analyses to assist with month end close.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Payroll processing, payment, and reconciliation, including any associated calculation and payment responsibilities.
- Assist with reviewing audit requests and required documentation requests.
- Maintain documentation for accounting related processes and tasks.
- Provide data for information requests and assist in troubleshooting when requested and/or necessary.
- Assist in developing and implementing accounting procedures that are both scalable and sustainable for growth.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities within department and provide solutions for implementation of processes to capitalize on those opportunities.
- Perform other job duties as assigned by manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
There are currently no supervisory responsibilities for this position.
Requirements
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting, Finance, Business, or relevant area and/or experience working as an accountant in manufacturing with 200 or more employees.
Additional Skills:
- Excellent computer skills with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software, especially Word and Excel
- Ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of organization, in all forms of communication.
- Strong ability to multi-task and work efficiently/comfortably both in small group setting and independently.
- Accuracy and excellent attention to detail and accountability in, and for, performance of tasks
- Willingness to take initiative, assist in prioritizing and shift duties when necessary to support both department and Company as a whole.
- Be assertive but professional when necessary for policy enforcement and follow-up requests.
