Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated mid-level engineer to join our roadway design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation engineering, with demonstrated expertise in project management, design, and client engagement. This position offers the opportunity for accelerated career growth and active involvement in business development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on a variety of transportation projects, from conceptual design to large-scale corridor projects.
  • Lead data collection, technical analyses, and documentation efforts.
  • Present project findings and technical analyses to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate alternatives and prepare project plans.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and client interactions.
  • Utilize computer-aided design software (MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or Civil3D) for transportation design and plan production.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and mentor junior team members.
  • Participate in proposal preparation and business development activities, including client visits and marketing events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on roadway design.
  • Professional Engineer License or active pursuit of licensure in Nebraska; licensure in Iowa, South Dakota, or Kansas is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation/Open Roads and/or Civil3D preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Federal, State, and Municipal design standards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.

Salary:

The salary for this position has a range of $85,000 - $105,000 annually. The actual offer will carefully consider a range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.
