Advanced Practice Provider - Express Walk In Clinic

Do you have a PA-C or FNP license? A passion for orthopedics? Love the hustle and bustle of a busy clinic? Join ROC as an Advanced Practice Provider in our ROC Express clinic! This position will remain posted until filled.

People have urgent orthopedic injuries all the time - you would be their first stop! As an advanced practice provider (APP) in our walk-in orthopedic clinic, you would provide medical treatment to patients in their initial time of need. Order diagnostics, make a diagnosis and ensure the patient starts their healing journey properly. At ROC, we know who we and what we stand for; we do our jobs efficiently and effectively. Develop strong relationships with fellow healthcare professionals and providers.

What would you do as an Advanced Practice Provider?

You can expect to regularly:

• Assess and treat orthopedic injuries or conditions that may require procedures, referral, or further evaluation by an orthopedic surgeon or other health care professional;
• Evaluation of defined initial approach to elicit a detailed and accurate history, perform an appropriate examination, delineate problems, and record data;
• Make diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patient conditions;
• Perform diagnostic workups involved in performance and interpretation of common laboratory, radiological and other procedures;
• Order, prescribe, dispense, and administer medication and orthopedic devices as may allowed by state legislation.

Requirements

• Active Nevada professional license with no license restrictions (PA or NP) (or the ability to obtain one prior to employment with ROC) (Nurse Practitioner should be certified to see patients of all ages (FNP));

Preferred Qualifications - How can you set yourself apart from other applicants?

• One year of experience working as a PA/NP in an orthopedic hospital/clinic setting;
• Experience in a surgical setting.

Travel: This position provides coverage to all ROCX locations, including Reno, Sparks, and Carson City.
