Conformal Coating Operator

The Mechanical Assembly Technician for cable harness performs repetitive work-station or line-assembly operations to produce components or to assemble those components into a completed product.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS MAY BE MADE TO ENABLE INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES TO PERFORM THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Setup Conformal Coating machine and dispensing tools as per job instructions.

• Operate dispensing tools and conformal coating machine.
• Prep, Mask, and/or Tape PCBs prior to coating.
• Inspect PCBs to ensure proper coating coverage.
• Remove any excess coating and perform manual touch-up of any missed areas.
• Perform maintenance on the coating and dispensing machines.

Requirements

• ABLE TO OPERATE SMT EQUIPMENT SUCH AS AOI, X-RAY, SELECTIVE SOLDER, AQUEOUS WASHER AND STENCIL CLEANER
• UNDERSTANDING OF ELECTRONIC COMPONENT TYPES AND PACKAGING (I.E. BGA, SOICS, RES/CAP PACKAGES ETC.)
• ABILITY TO READ AND UNDERSTAND ENGINEERING ASSEMBLY DOCUMENTS SUCH AS BOM'S, ASSEMBLY DRAWINGS, ENGINEERING CHANGE ORDERS, QUALITY PROCESS DOCUMENTS
• GENERAL COMPUTER SKILLS
• INTERPRET ENGINEERING DRAWINGS AND DOCUMENTATION
• ABILITY TO HANDLE JOB STRESS AND INTERACT EFFECTIVELY WITH OTHERS IN THE WORKPLACE
• FLUENT DOMAIN OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE: ABILITY TO READ, WRITE AND SPEAK ENGLISH WELL
• ABILITY TO CARRY OUT DETAILED WRITTEN AND ORAL INSTRUCTIONS
