Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. is recruiting a Cyber Computer Systems Analyst III, in Las Vegas, NV.

The Cyber Computer Systems Analyst III is responsible for implementing and maintaining Information Technology (IT) operations, information security controls, processes, procedures, third party security risks, as well as monitoring and responding to information security events and incidents. The role will also administrate change management, business continuity processes, development network and respond to IT/Cyber Data Calls.
General Responsibilities and Knowledge Skills:
- Under general supervision, perform professional tasks independently and analyze and develop innovative solutions to problems in IT and Cyber Security related areas.
- Identify opportunities to use emerging technology to increase efficiency and flexibility with the ability to program and PowerShell script.
- Conduct technical security impact assessments to comply with Supply Chain Risk Management guidelines.
- May formulate improvement plans and pitch them to leadership.
- Maintain and administer the asset management database for endpoints.
- Assist with writing and presenting System Security and Risk Assessment plans.
- Promotes project and team management best practices for continuous improvement.
- Compile and track vulnerabilities over time for metrics purposes.
- Develop, test, and modify custom scripts and applications for vulnerability testing.
- Perform related work as assigned by supervisor under limited supervision.Ability to independently organize own work to meet established objectives, using discretion in performing duties.
- Ability to work in an integrated team environment and to lead certain aspects of a task or project.
- Ability to cross train with other IT Employees
Requirements
Specific Responsibilities and Knowledge/Skills:
- Broad knowledge of computer systems and widely used software.
- Security and Compliance i.e., DISA STIGs and Binding Operational Directives.
- Group Policy management.
- Power Shell Scripting
- Active Directory and Azure Identity Access Management (IAM)
- M365 administration
- Patch Management
- Conduct Vulnerability Assessments
- Understanding of the NIST 800.53 guidelines, specifically Supply Chain, Risk Management, Change Management, Continuity Planning, and Incident Response.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires an associate degree or related IT certifications (IT work experience can be substituted for a degree), and 5 years of experience.
- Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Reading, writing, and comprehension.
- Fundamental computer skills, i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, email, etc.
Working Conditions:
- When working at the DOE Facility, Molasky Building work is primarily office support, work performed at the NNSS the work is primarily field related where physical effort may be required, up to and not limited to lifting, bending, reaching, standing, and walking for long periods of time.
- Must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment and to work in remote, desert environments.
