Benefits
- Community-Focused: Las Vegas is a diverse city, and Nevada Teacher Corps values this richness. We work closely with the state education department, schools, and local leaders because real change happens when everyone works together. By building these connections, we create a supportive network that helps both teachers and students thrive.
- Classroom-Centered Experience: Fellows take part in a six-week training program focused on real teaching experience in summer classrooms. This hands-on approach allows you to practice essential skills while working directly with students. Training is free, but you’ll cover expenses for background checks, fingerprinting, and certification exam fees.
- Full Salary and Benefits: Our Fellows are hired as full-time teachers by our school partners for the 2025-26 school year. As a Fellow, you’ll receive a starting salary of $58,420 plus comprehensive benefits, just like all first-year teachers in these schools.
- Certification: In your first year in the classroom, you’ll earn certification through our program, which includes coursework and direct support. NTC Fellows are recognized as certified teachers with proven success. Tuition is $7,000, but scholarships may reduce your cost to $1,750, payable in 9 monthly installments. Coursework fees start after you begin teaching and earning a salary.
In addition, enrollment in TNTP’s AmeriCorps program offers an award up to $7,395 for education-related expenses or student loans.
