VadaTech is a world leader in the design and manufacture of embedded computing solutions. Our team is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for our manufacturing location in Henderson, NV.
The Manufacturing Engineer will be engaged, with occasional guidance, in developing manufacturing, sheet metal fabrication, powder coat and machining processes, equipment/tooling alternatives, sequence and flow of operations for the effective utilization of personnel, material, machines, and facilities necessary to produce machined components. Work is performed at our new state-of-the-art metal fabrication facility and will require creativity, initiative, and a high-level of independent judgement. The ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment is critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
• Support engineering with design for manufacturability assessments for the manufacturing transition of new products. Interact with customers and suppliers in a technical support role.
• Develop manufacturing plans and sequence of operations for new products
• Optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality and reduce costs
• Define part inspection measurement and reporting plans to define inspection points, key characteristics, inspection tasks, inspection methods, sampling, in-process inspection, final inspection and first article requirements.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow charts, and standard operating procedures
• Resolve product manufacturing issues, identify, and evaluate changes to improve processes while maintaining high quality.
• Develop and document training for manufacturing equipment and processes. Provide related training to operators and team leads.
• Prepare production reports and capacity models by analyzing production trends, Key Performance Indicators KPI’s and metrics.
Requirements
Required and Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in related manufacturing role
- Knowledge of sheet metal materials, manufacturing processes, and fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of machineability of material, CNC machining and related processes.
- Well versed in ASME Y14.5-2009
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles and practices
- Experience with Inspection equipment (Keyence preferred)
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Must be willing to take a leadership role in all assigned activities

- Ability to move around the facility, climbing stairs as necessary, bends down and reaches up
- Frequently communicates with others. must be able to exchange accurate information verbally and in writing
- Constantly operates a computer and other standard office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
- Ability to handle and lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs. alone; ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. in a two-person lift
