Onsite Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - (PMHNP/FNP/AGNP/PA-C)

Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs, FNPs, AGNPs) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in Nevada to work direct care in Skilled Nursing Facilities.

Service areas incorporate: Reno, Fallon, Carson City, Tahoe

Responsibilities:

• Provide face to face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Job Types: Part-time, W2 Billable Hourly (1099 Independent Contractor available).

Requirements

• Licensed in Nevada by the Board of Nursing in good standing as a PMHNP.
• Licensed by the Nevada Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances.
• Possession of a Nevada State DEA.
• Possession of an X-Wavier for Suboxone treatment (Optional).
• Malpractice Insurance.
• 1 year within a psych setting.
• 1 year of experience within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Facilities.
• 1 year Geri Psych experience.
  
  Skills:
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Experience with EMR/EHR Systems (Athena I, a plus).
• Excellent written communication.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Flexible, organized, and functions under stressful situations.
• Fluency in Spanish is a PLUS!

Pay:

• $54.00 to $77.00 per Billable Hour, W2 and Independent Contractor options available.
• Compensation is determined based on the pay model preferred, experience, and licensure.
