Do you have a passion for people? Love helping and guiding patients? Like the hustle and bustle of a busy clinic? Join ROC as a Trauma Patient Liaison! This position will remain posted until filled.
You would be the contact for all our patients seen in the Emergency Room by a ROC provider. You could make a difference in a patient's day after a potentially stressful situation, providing direction for follow up care. Your attention to detail will allow for successful triage of the patient for your team. You are essential to facilitating a great patient experience.
ROC is expanding with two more operating suites opening the beginning of 2025 as we welcome seven new surgeons to our team. Join our team to be part of the growth and excitement!
What would you do as a Trauma Patient Liaison?
The Trauma Patient Liaison is responsible for helping patients daily, with an emphasis on quality patient care. You can expect to regularly:
- Serve as the initial point of contact for patients being seen in the Emergency Room (ER) by one of our providers;
- Interact with patients, their representatives/family members, physicians, and other medical staff to effectively schedule and direct patients through care at ROC in a patient focused manner;
- Collect information from providers and staff regarding patients seen in the Emergency Room (ER) and initiate follow up with patient;
- Record medical and patient information accurately in patients’ electronic medical record and other databases/spreadsheets as needed;
- Promptly triage, address and resolve patient messages and/or phone calls and document all conversations in the patients’ electronic medical records;
- Facilitate positive relationships and communication with hospital staff, providers, ROC staff, and patients.
Requirements
Certifications/Educations:
- High School Diploma
Knowledge of:
- Customer service principles and practices
Experience:
- Working in a healthcare setting and understanding hospital/clinic flow;
- Using computer systems and applications, including entering data and typing;
- Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling, answering phone calls, and documenting conversations.
