Finance & Pricing Manager (DoD Experience)

Reporting to the Director of Finance & Contracts, the Finance & Pricing Manager is a key member of the finance team integrating functionality and expertise with other facets of the organization to improve sales, operations, engineering, quality, systems, and pricing to impact overall effectiveness of the company.

Granite State Manufacturing (GSM) is a leading contract manufacturer of specialized equipment for Defense, Medical, Security, and industrial markets with specific experience in cable handling systems for the US Navy. This role is integral to GSM's day-to-day administration and will be a trusted and valued team member coordinating with all functions within the business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees and executes program control, cost reporting, pricing, and variance analysis.
• Manages the development of program baseline plans and profit and loss analysis.
• Manages monthly project/program financial management and forecasting.
• Works to increase financial FAR compliance, internal accountability, and overall financial awareness.
• Responsible for the management of complex DoD proposal efforts, indirect rates, forecasting and variance reporting, and system compliance.
• Leads or assists in audits, certifications, and negotiations.
• Increases effectiveness of contract negotiations and contract management.
• Reduces and eliminates barriers and obstacles to improve overall cost and schedule performance.
• Participates and leads meetings as required.
• Initiates and leads recommended changes to internal processes and procedures to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and value.
• Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by establishing effective relationships and networks with all levels of the organization, collaborating with them to accomplish shared purposes and goals.
• Advises other business functions and guides lesser experienced teammates on requirements and compliance.
• Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for creating a professional, safe, and clean environment evidenced by: being at work on time to perform assigned duties, following the policies of Granite State Manufacturing, always wearing safety glasses in designated areas, maintaining a neat and orderly work area, and following safety practices to prevent errors.
• Abides by GSM Code of Ethics and Business Conduct standards and strictly observes all U.S. and foreign laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred, minimum of 8-10 years of related experience (more preferred).
• Experience with FAR and other Government/DoD Contracting and Pricing Regulations, policies, and procedures.
• The successful candidate will be a self-starter, motivated, organized, and have a proven track record of leading and positively closing successful cross-functional improvements and efforts.
• Seeking a quick learner who has the ability to pivot, learn, and adjust through an environment undergoing data migration, form and process, creations, and significant change.
• Financial/ERP/IT systems and report writing experience preferred
• Must thrive in an environment of competing priorities/multiple hats with positive, teaming attitude
