Full Job Description
Work with the GSM team to develop and manage forecast for long range planning while considering current materials, lead-time and manned capacity.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and implement system and process improvements within scheduling to enable overall business process improvements.
- Further develop existing forecasting tools and process through application of innovative ideas and projects.
- Convey and negotiate Master Production Schedule to assure schedule achievability.
- Drive, promote and develop positive communication to entire constituents.
- Review and update forecast and master schedule to include establishment of planning calendar to assure standard updates to Master Production Schedule every month.
- Develop, execute and maintain tools as well as techniques required to evaluate impact of proposed schedule changes which includes determining push / pull actions for financial forecast achievability.
- Assist with production meetings to assess actual in opposition to plan and convey changes or updates to MPS. Ensure to constant communication with GSM team members to the requirements and impacts.
- Supervise and report actual results against Master Production Schedule.
- Prepare and manage master materials schedule utilizing ERP systems as a tool and prepare staffing profiles for schedule achievement.
- Plan and schedule materials availability to assist production developed schedules.
- Support new Sales Orders / Strategic Customer development through cooperative scheduling using Microsoft Project.
- Assist in the resolution of MRP and planning discrepancies.
- Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for creating a professional, safe, and clean environment evidenced by: being at work on time to perform assigned duties, following the policies of Granite State Manufacturing, always wearing safety glasses in designated areas, maintaining a neat and orderly work area, and following safety practices to prevent errors.

- Abides by GSM Code of Ethics and Business Conduct standards and strictly observes all U.S. and foreign laws and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management, five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows based computer programs, and ERP/MRP based company-wide sales order scheduling systems.
- Proven experience with planning and forecasting.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills required.
- APICS certification a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; listens to others without interrupting; keeps emotions under control; remains open to others’ ideas and tries new things. Ability to communicate effectively.
