We are currently looking for a Production Planner to join our production team to support our variety of customers. Job Summary:
The Production Planner is responsible for planning, organizing and executing production schedules for the plant.
Essential Job Duties:
- Under general direction, ensures the production schedules are current and sequenced for maximum productivity and to fulfill customer delivery requirements.
- Checks production activity to provide a controlled flow of materials timed to meet production requirements.
- Works with management to organize schedule changes due to backlogs, design changes, and material/labor shortages.
- Maintains production scheduling recordkeeping in our system.
- Ability to coordinate with suppliers to have raw material available for scheduled production. Resolves raw material shipment discrepancies/issues.
- Ability to communicates and coordinate with suppliers.
- May assist with evaluating production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tool and manpower requirements.
- Excellent customer interface skills are critical to this role.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, experience considered.
- 3 - 5 years' cross functional experience problem solving techniques within a manufacturing industry.
- 3 - 5 years' experience with safety procedures.
- 3 - 5 years' manufacturing operations experience.
- SAP experience.
- Inventory/Purchasing systems experience.
