Full Job Description
The Brand Communications Coordinator is responsible for assisting the brand communications team to continually enhance the image and awareness of brands created and managed by the agency using best practices in marketing, advertising, public relations and social media. They will be working on marketing and communications projects with a heavy focus on creating content for, and managing social media campaigns. The Brand Communications Coordinator will translate strategy handed down by senior members of the brand communications team and apply it appropriately to projects and initiatives.

As it pertains to Second Melody, the Brand Communications Coordinator will achieve this in the following ways:
Brand Communications
- Assist the brand communications team in creating and executing comprehensive social/ digital marketing and communications plans utilizing an omni channel approach and a mix of physical and digital mediums
- Leverage compelling content specific to social media - Including but not limited to video, reels, etc.
- Work in conjunction with the team to manage the execution of communications plans and campaigns across all channels via content calendars
- Collaborate on both internal and external brainstorming sessions to pitch and/or foster innovative ideas for current/upcoming campaigns/client scopes
- Monitor and analyze social media performance using analytic tools and leveraging insights to optimize/ideate content strategy
- Define and implement analytics to set objectives and report on ROI for campaigns
- Be aware of current marketing, public relations, social media and creator trends and across the digital landscape (TikTok, reels, digital ad creative, etc)
- Conduct desk research and interviews for industry and competitive analysis
- Create engaging content for social media accounts that is effective in accomplishing the customer's goals and that follows the existing brand system
- Community management, cultivating and nurturing social audiences, responding to comments and queries in a timely manner and in a way that accurately represents the customer’s brand
- Assist in writing and editing content for all social and digital platforms
- Continually iterate on concepts in an effort to make work relevant and relatable to all audiences
- Absorb customer feedback and ask the right questions prior to delivering solutions
- Respond to customer requests and feedback with informed and appropriate solutions
- Attend meetings and represent the agency and the brand communications team in an appropriate manner
- Be aware of the customer’s short term (project) and long term (company) goals and be constantly working towards those goals via brand strategy deliverables
- Present deliverables to internal teams
Requirements
Work requirements for the position:
- Proven experience in brand communications, public relations and social media
- Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
- Ability to backup ideas with research and reasoning
- Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
- Ability to defend choices made with research and examples
- Up to date with industry leading software and technologies
- Realism regarding time, costs and deadlines
- Ability to follow direction
- Experience with social planning, scheduling and analytics tools is a plus (i.e., Airtable and Sprout)

Annual salary for this position is $45,000
