Join us at Karo Healthcare on our exciting journey. We're currently looking for a Business & Financial Controller responsible for the USA business for our office in New Jersey.
Roles and responsibilities
Business Controlling:
- Partner with the country General Manager to enhance financial performance and management, focusing on budgeting, planning, and internal control.
- Analyze and report on monthly and quarterly performance, including creating reports, action plans, and initiating proactive organizational follow-ups.
- Drive the rollout of synergies within the assigned country/region, aiming for continuous performance improvement.
- Lead and participate in various ad hoc projects and analyses.
- Manage financial reporting on a monthly/quarterly basis.
Financial Controlling:
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in line with group deadlines and policies.
- Act as the primary contact for internal and external parties, including banks, tax authorities, and auditors.
- Ensure efficient closing and reconciliation of subledgers, and manage country-specific reconciliations and compliance activities.
- Approve payments and manage intercompany transactions, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and principles.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- A university degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international setting. Experience in the FMCG, Pharma, or Consumer Health sectors is highly regarded
- Fluency in English in both writing and speaking
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficient in the use of integrated ERP software, with a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes including Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, and Record to Report
- Solid grounding in accounting principles
- Exceptional analytical abilities, particularly with marketing and sales budgets. Experience in this area will be considered an asset
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with other digital tools. Knowledge of Power BI or similar BI tools is advantageous
- Adept at managing large volumes of complex data, transforming it into valuable business insights
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with a keen eye for detail
- A commercial mindset with a robust business orientation
- Knowledgeable in financial internal controls, risk mitigation, local tax regulations, and statutory/legal reporting requirements
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
