The company’s first product, the OrganOx metra® normothermic machine perfusion (NMP) system for liver transplantation, has been used to support more than 4,000 liver transplant operations globally, optimizing the use of donated organs by enabling assessment of the quality of livers as well as longer preservation durations. As part of our ongoing expansion, we seek a Clinical Training Manager to join our team.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Clinical Training Manager (CTM) will be responsible for facilitation and implementation of comprehensive educational programs and training courses for our customers and internal staff at our New Jersey training center. Additionally, the CTM will facilitate clinical device overview sessions for global partners and guests in our New Jersey home office. As the clinical lead in our home office, you will contribute to projects with strategic and tactical execution to maximize opportunities, drive clinical advantages, and build strategic partnerships.
This is an onsite, full time in-office position in Madison NJ.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Under direction from the Director of Training & Education, the Clinical Trial Manager will be responsible for:
- Manage the execution of various clinical and technical training programs.
- Drive/manage educational initiatives and contribute to curriculum development for various clinical and technical education programs.
- Manage the OrganOx Training Center, including set-up/breakdown for training courses, maintenance of supplies, management of current and future equipment.
- Provide mentorship to the Clinical Specialist and Sales teams.
- Develop and deliver educational materials, presentations, and demonstrations tailored to the audience's needs.
- Collaborate with the clinical, sales and technical teams to identify training needs and support the development of customized training plans.
- Provide ongoing support and consultation to ensure customers are maximizing the benefits of the metra® and NMP.
- Stay current with industry trends, advancements in technology, and competitive landscape.
- Gather feedback from customers to continuously improve training programs and resources.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating workshops, webinars, and conferences.
- Attend US congresses and conferences when requested.
- Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to accurately assess needs and help develop targeted training programs that support achievement of the commercial business objectives.
- Works as part of a training team. Serve as the clinical lead within the team for initial field training, continuing education, and ongoing training initiatives. Possess the ability to lead and deliver training for both initial field onboarding and ongoing training initiatives.
- Lead clinical updates on weekly training calls.
- Implement all elements of training for assigned programs and initiatives including training strategy, content creation, and delivery.
- Support mentors and proctors in assessing the effectiveness of training and the creation of follow-up programs for the continuous development of field personnel.
- Adhere to the letter and spirit of OrganOx’s Code of Conduct and all other company policies.
Requirements
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in transplant surgery, normothermic machine perfusion, and organ donation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation (live and virtual) skills.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to training and education.
- Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and Outlook.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum two (2) years of professional experience in one or more of the following functions: Medical Device Sales, Clinical Training, Sales Training, Medical Education, or other relevant areas.
- Ability to travel 20%.
