Full Job Description
As the Corporate Contract Procurement Manager, you will play a strategic role in optimizing procurement processes and aligning initiatives with the organization's overall supply chain needs. Your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing procurement strategies, fostering strong vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and promoting cost-effective and sustainable procurement practices. This pivotal role will enhance operational efficiency, mitigate risks, and significantly impact the success of the organization's supply chain management efforts.
Are You Looking To:
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the strategic plan related to supply chain initiatives, objectives, and operational requirements.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of supply chain requirements within Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Showcase proficiency in performance improvement tools and methodologies, including Lean methodology, Six Sigma, problem-solving techniques, and data collection/mining.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management processes.
- Negotiate pricing agreements, contracts, and terms with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and favorable terms for the organization.
- Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and cost structures to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as finance, operations, and supply chain to align procurement activities with business objectives.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of procurement policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
What You’ll Need:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline (i.e. EE, ME, IE, BS, etc.), MBA preferred.
- Eight or more years of direct manufacturing experience and supply chain management.
- Must have working knowledge and experience in commodity management.
- Proven success in managing quality-related programs and initiatives across multiple domestic sites.
- Demonstrated superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Aptitude to work independently.
- Ability to interface and work well with all levels of management personnel across functional lines.
- Prior management experience and quality discipline exposure to telecommunication, defense, aerospace, and space products and their requirements preferred.
- Proven success in managing supply chain programs and initiatives across multiple global locations preferred.
- Professional membership (i.e. APICS, CPIM) preferred.
- Ability to travel 35% domestically and internationally.
Physical Requirements:
- Extended periods of desk-based work and computer usage.
- Prolonged periods of standing (trade shows, customer visits, manufacturing facilities).
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds occasionally.
