ABOUT THE ROLE
LEAP is looking for a legal assistant, secretary, or paralegal with a few years of family law experience and an aptitude for technology to join our mission to improve the family law process around the world.
In this role, you will use your experience to enhance LEAP’s library of automated family law forms. You will be responsible for identifying commonly used family law documents and then populating these forms with information that pulls automatically from client files, allowing our users to be more efficient and accurate.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Creating and automating family law documents to maximize the efficiency of LEAP users
- Peer reviewing forms created by others on the team to ensure they are as high quality and user-friendly as possible
- Monitoring for court form updates and making these changes to the LEAP library
- Providing recommendations on what case information should be captured in LEAP
- Providing feedback on prototypes and early builds of new features from the support staff perspective
- Visiting law firms to gather product feedback
- Preparing training materials to help users get the most out of LEAP
- Responding to incoming user feedback cases
- Assisting with initiatives to reach usage goals
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Essential qualities:
- 3+ years family law experience, ideally in New Jersey, as a paralegal, legal assistant or other similar role
- Familiarity with family court forms and processes
- An aptitude for technology
- Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate (or higher) level
- Passion for improving the efficiency of the family law firms
- Drive to provide the best possible result for clients
- Excellent attention to detail
Nice to have qualities:
- Prior experience using LEAP or other legal software
- Experience automating documents
- Proficiency in JavaScript or another programming language
