Full Job Description
Keeping Families Together is a long-term program aimed to assist DCPP involved families challenged with homelessness/housing instability putting children at risk for out-of-home placement or delaying reunification. KFT utilizes a housing-first model to work with our families in obtaining stable, subsidized housing. The program focuses on the following to help families overcome the obstacles that prevent the family unity they desire: 1) Reunification; 2) Housing Stability; 3) Vocational Counseling; 4) Substance Use Services; 5) Socialization and Self-Sufficiency; 6) Parenting Skills; 7) Strengthening Families Curriculum.
Position Title: Housing Liaison
Position Type: Full Time; 40 Hours Weekly

Location: Ocean County, NJ (Toms River Office)
Department: Keeping Families Together (KFT)
- Maintain comprehensive tenant files for clients linked to DCA State rental assistance.
- Identify available housing units in the community
- Develop and maintain community partnerships such as with landlords and housing partners
- Act as a liaison between program participants and landlords to assist in mitigating any housing challenges
- Ensure compliance with DCA regulations
- Arrange periodic property inspections and document inspection results
- Assist Case Managers in maintaining accurate records regarding housing documentation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with clients and housing support services
- Valid NJ Driver's License with less than 6 points
