Full Job Description
The Lead Count Room Attendant is responsible for accurately processing and counting cash, chips and tickets from all Table Games and Slots.
Position Responsibilities
- Ensures the slot, table, non-gaming and NRT drops are collected and counted in the most efficient manner and in compliance with New Jersey state regulations and property internal controls.
- Assists in the development of new Count Room procedures as needed to accommodate operational or regulatory changes.
- Assists Count Room team members in the performance of their daily assignments. Ensures they key control procedures are adhered to.
- Assists in the preventative maintenance program that ensures the efficient operation of the Count Room and all related equipment.
- Remove Bill Validator Drop boxes from Slot Machines and replace with empty boxes.
- Load dropped Bill Validator boxes on cart and transport to the count room.
- Verify cash and coin revenue (bags) from Non-Gaming outlets and record any discrepancies.
- Trace and match fills/credit slips from Table Games to the Master Gaming Summary Report and document any discrepancies.
- Must be able to operate a MPS Cummins Machine and upload end of day totals due to Audit.
- Empty Table Game Drop boxes individually and in numerical order.
- Must be able to operate a 2 pocket Currency Counter Machine to count and strap currency from Slot Bill Validator cash boxes, Table Game drop boxes and Non-Gaming Revenue.
- Maintain confidentiality.
Essential Functions
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and hectic environments.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Ensure that revenue from all Table Games and Slots are dropped and counted in compliance with the NJCCC standards and company Internal Controls.
- Team members must be able to provide documentation of all counts and fulfill all regulatory requirements; as well as company and NJDGE procedures
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a cash handling position.
- Related degree a plus or equivalent work experience with a H.S Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Must have excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
