Full Job Description
We are recruiting a Packaging Supervisor for a hands-on role in overseeing the packaging operations within a cGMP environment for pharmaceutical products. This position involves managing packaging processes for various dosage forms, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a team to achieve production goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise and oversee all packaging operations, ensuring adherence to cGMP standards and production schedules.
- Manage and coordinate the daily activities of the packaging team, including task assignments, monitoring performance, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Ensure the proper setup, operation, and troubleshooting of packaging equipment, including blister packaging machines, bottling lines, and labeling systems.
- Review and approve packaging batch records and other related documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor and optimize packaging processes for efficiency and quality, making necessary adjustments to improve productivity.
- Coordinate with quality assurance to ensure all packaging activities meet the required quality standards and resolve any issues that arise.
- Oversee the training and development of packaging team members, ensuring they are well-versed in SOPs and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality control, and supply chain to meet production targets and address any technical issues.
- Manage inventory of packaging materials, ensuring availability and proper storage in accordance with cGMP guidelines.
- Lead investigations into any deviations or issues related to packaging, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as industrial engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or operations management.
- 5-7 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging operations within a cGMP environment.
- Experience:
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical packaging processes, including equipment operation, setup, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with packaging regulations and guidelines, including FDA and EU requirements.
- Experience with packaging materials and component specifications.
- Special Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using software applications such as Word, Excel, and ERP systems.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
