Bfifurniture is looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and in a timely manner while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. You will handle employee records, manage payroll inquiries, and distribute paychecks and reports. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the highest level of confidentiality regarding employee financial data. As a Payroll Specialist, you will collaborate with HR in managing employee benefits, tax filings, and any payroll-related audits. Responsibilities
- Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Maintain employee records, including hours worked, pay rates, and benefit deductions
- Address payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies in a professional manner
- Prepare and administer accurate payroll reports for management and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Collaborate with HR to update payroll data related to new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status
- Assist in payroll audits and provide documentation as necessary
- Stay updated on relevant local, state, and federal regulations affecting payroll practices
Requirements
- Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; Bachelor's degree is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing and administration
- Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems, experience with [specific software] is a plus
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling numerical data
