Requirements
What will you do?
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will play a central role in coordinating information and activities across the Program team. This may include providing overall support for THT’s access to care, chronic disease management, food security, harm reduction, maternal health programs, along with other programs as needed. This position requires working collaboratively with individuals across THT and our partner organizations, managing multiple deadlines and contacts, and proactively remaining up-to-date about THT and CAB organizations’ projects, programs, and priorities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Participates as a team member on a portfolio of projects, completing assigned tasks, updating the project plans and collecting performance data.
- Maintains our salesforce database, external meeting tracker, and free food finder application
- Supports meeting planning, including scheduling, sending invitations, providing logistic information, managing headcount, ordering food, and taking meeting notes.
- Attends and may set up community meetings, health fairs, and other events to build relationships with community members and organizations, and to publicize THT’s and partner organizations’ programs and activities.
- Keeps abreast of important community news; identifies barriers, challenges, and facilitators to programs; and identifies new potential partners.
- Participates in stakeholder meetings on behalf of THT.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supports other THT programs and activities as needed.
- Provides periodic verbal and written reports regarding the status and progress of work.
- Participates in and contributes to regular team meetings.
- Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
N/A
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree and/or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience working in a healthcare delivery organization, social service organization and/or community interfacing role.
- Previous project coordination experience
- Ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation.
- Demonstrated knowledge and interest in community health
- Familiarity with data collection and analytical methods and approaches.
- Strong multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to think critically & innovatively
- Excels working in a dynamic environment.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working in Trenton communities.
- Bilingual in written and spoken English and Spanish
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Strong computer experience with proficiency in Google Apps suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, Vision, and PowerPoint. Experience with project management software and data analysis a plus.
The Program Coordinator performs job duties in a normal business office environment in an urban community. Office tasks are generally carried out with no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands. While performing the office duties of this job, the coordinator is regularly required to sit at a desk and work with a computer for extended periods of time. Specific physical abilities required by this job include operating basic office equipment such as personal computers, copy machines, fax machines and standard office telephones.
