Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves developing and implementing quality control systems, inspecting materials, and conducting tests to ensure product reliability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and processes to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Inspection and Testing: Conduct regular inspections and tests of materials, components, and finished products to identify defects and deviations from specifications.
- Root Cause Analysis: Perform root cause analysis on quality issues, develop corrective action plans, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of inspection results, testing procedures, and quality control activities.
- Compliance: Ensure all products and processes comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, including FAA, AS9100, and ISO 9001.
- Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality standards are met and conduct supplier audits as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Training: Provide training and support to production staff on quality control procedures and standards.
- Customer Support: Address customer concerns and complaints related to product quality and work to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance role, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of quality control principles, statistical analysis, and problem-solving techniques. Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAA regulations.
- Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in quality management software and tools. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification is a plus.
- Other: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
