Full Job Description
The Senior IT Support Technician is responsible for maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting and repairing computer systems, hardware and peripherals.
Position Description and Responsibilities: include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide support in the selection, acquisition, implementation, and ongoing support of personal computer hardware, software, and application systems to provide solutions as necessary to satisfy operational needs.
- Provide direct support for networked applications and the operational systems supporting them to ensure problems are resolved on a timely basis with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Provide escalated level of support, and first level as needed, for employees.
- Train and assist IT Support Technicians on an ongoing basis.
- Configure and maintain Cisco switches and network ports.
- Assist Network Engineers with physical network equipment and configurations.
- Support VOIP applications and hardware.
- Configure and distribute enterprise mobile and desk phones.
- Coordinate with vendors, internal customers, and IT Development team for communications software updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Complies with all New Jersey regulatory requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
- Must be able to work in an environmentally controlled Network Operating Center and Computer Room.
- Exposure to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and kitchen environments.
- Exposure to stress situations related to servicing clients in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand or move for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the Casino/Hotel areas.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs
Requirements
- Five plus years related experience with software applications such as network administration tools, imaging software, email, and hardware operating systems supporting desktop PCs.
- Effective communication skills in addition to providing clear and concise direction when assigning tasks.
