Talent Vision, a Staffing and Consulting Firm, is partnering with a charter school in Trenton, NJ, to fill the position of STEM Teacher. As a STEM Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring and engaging students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Your passion for these subjects and your ability to create real-world connections will help students develop critical thinking skills and prepare them for future success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging and innovative lessons that integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
- Provide hands-on experiences and facilitate inquiry-based learning to develop students' problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Create a classroom environment that encourages collaboration, experimentation, and creativity.
- Utilize technology and resources to enhance instruction and engage students in STEM-related projects.
- Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and promote cross-curricular connections.
- Stay updated with current research and best practices in STEM education, participating in professional development opportunities.
- Encourage student participation in extracurricular STEM activities, such as science fairs, robotics clubs, or coding competitions.
- Establish positive and inclusive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and the wider community.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in STEM Education or a related field is required.
- Prior teaching experience, specifically in STEM instruction, is strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts.
- Passion for STEM education and the ability to inspire and engage students.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents/guardians, and fellow educators.
- Experience with hands-on, inquiry-based teaching strategies.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools and their application in the classroom.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
