Are you looking for your next challenge supporting research & development? Come join a dynamic team supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's (DTRA) Research and Development (RD) Directorate! In this position you will provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to support the DTRA RD Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Technologies Department (CX), Weapons and Capabilities Division (RD-CXW) team.
The ideal candidate for this position will coordinate with government program managers and leaders across a portfolio of classified programs in response to tsks and requests for information from both inside the Agency and from external organizations. The candidate must have a demonstrated record of strict attention to detail working while building partnerships to collaborate on work products. The work will be performed in a government facility at Kirtland AFB, NM. Although situational telework may be permitted by exception, the majority of the weekly tasks will require work on the government site. This position requires a Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. This position may involve periodic travel within the US.
Responsibilities
- Provide distribution and consolidation of responses to internal and external taskings, requests for information (RFIs), and inquiries
- Review Division level documentation to ensure validity, and facilitate cross-communication regarding program priorities and courses of action
- Author correspondence, program briefings
- Support the development of annual spend plans to meet capability gaps
- Assist with the development of program plans including expenditure tracking
- Assist the Division Senior Program Manager and Task Lead on all matters relating to Division operations as appropriate
Requirements
- Current DoD Top Secret clearance with access to SCI
- BA/BS degree preferably in management, business, engineering, or policy.
- Minimum 5 years professional experience as a Staff Action Officer or commensurate position within a DoD organization
- Demonstrated successful staff management to include communications at the General Officer / Senior Executive level
- Experience with Counter-WMD missions and operations
- Fully versed in MS Office software suite, Microsoft SharePoint
- Experience with complex stakeholder management
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree in project management, Acquisition or Contracting
- Additional qualifications preferred (e.g., PMP)
- Knowledge of DoD Directive 5000 series management guidance
- Knowledge of the DoD acquisition policies, preferably with experience in Counter WMD R&D
- Experience in development and testing of air-to-surface and surface-to-surface weapons systems
- Experience at DTRA
