Full Job Description

As part of our growth strategy, Albireo Energy is expanding its sales team and is currently seeking an Account Manager for the Northeast area. This role is focused on driving profitable and aggressive sales growth within the energy procurement sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in direct sales and/or the plan and spec market, preferably within a large organization where they have honed a disciplined approach to account management and the competitive bid process.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with end users, energy suppliers, consulting engineers, large owner accounts, and ESCOs.
  • Assist consulting engineers with the design and specifications of energy procurement solutions.
  • Estimate costs for energy procurement projects, including material, labor, and subcontractor expenses.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Department to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare technical proposals and presentations to consulting engineers that effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Schedule meetings with customers, identify opportunities, and promote Albireo Energy’s energy procurement capabilities.
  • Negotiate final pricing and scope of work with contractors, suppliers, and end users.
  • Provide ongoing sales support for new installations and energy procurement projects.
  • Attend sales meetings and training seminars.
  • Collaborate with other sales executives to achieve team goals.
  • Track sales activities and forecast sales opportunities in CRM.
  • Achieve annual revenue and gross margin targets.

Requirements

  • Proven success in either plan & spec or owner direct sales within the energy procurement field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, specifically in energy procurement or building automation.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings.
  • Deep understanding of building HVAC systems and their integration with energy procurement strategies.
  • Proficient in the use of CRM tools for pipeline and activity management.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data centers and EPMS is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

Salary Range: $70k-$80k/yr. DOE.
