Full Job Description
The Account Supervisor, Social Media will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and analysis of social media programs. You will collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and develop social media strategies that align with their goals. You will also execute programs including content development, community management, and analytics reporting.
This person is proficient in understanding social media platforms, trends, and best practices. They are a strategic thinker with the ability to develop social media strategies for clients, track and analyze performances, and provide recommendations for optimization. This individual also follows industry trends to identify opportunities and challenges for the agency in social media marketing.
Key Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Develop and execute social media strategies for clients, aligning with their business objectives.
- Plan, implement, and analyze social media programs across various platforms.
- Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written) across various social media platforms.
- Create visually appealing graphics and layouts for social media posts.
- Schedule and oversee social media content using Sprout Social to ensure clients have a regular social posting cadence.
- Monitor, listen, and respond to users to foster community engagement and audience interaction.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their goals and provide strategic guidance.
- Manage a social media account executive, including assigning projects, managing deadlines, and ensuring clean copy.
- Track and analyze social media campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, platforms, and technologies.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and identify new opportunities for clients.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in social media management, preferably in the life sciences, pharma and/or healthcare industries.
- Experienced in developing and executing successful social media strategies.
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to track and analyze program performance.
- Experience in designing original graphics optimized for a range of social media platforms – knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is a major plus.
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into engaging and understandable content.
- Understands the U.S. Food & Drug Administration guidelines for industry use of social media.
- Proficiency in setting, monitoring, and adjusting monthly budgets to keep projects on track financially.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and mentor a team.
- Experience working with clients and providing strategic guidance.
- Creative and innovative mindset.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Hybrid Role: a requirement of this role is attendance in the NYC office, at least, two days per week.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - 100,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure, and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
