Keystone Consulting Group is seeking an Accounting and Payroll Specialist for its client in the Non-Profit arena.
Job Summary:
The Accounting and Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, and handling other accounting tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll regulations, and excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
· Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.
· Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and employee data.
· Reconcile payroll data to ensure accurate reporting and tax filings.
· Coordinate with HR to handle employee benefits and deductions.
· Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
· Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and payments on a regular schedule.
· Provide support for external and internal audits by preparing necessary documentation.
· Monitor and update payroll software and systems as needed.
· Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.
· Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
· Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and payroll management.
· Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) and payroll processing systems.
· Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Salesforce tools and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
· Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
