Responsibilities
- Conduct chemical analyses and experiments using a variety of analytical techniques and instruments, such as chromatography, spectrometry, and microscopy.
- Develop and validate analytical methods to assess the composition, purity, and quality of chemical substances and compounds.
- Perform routine and non-routine analysis of samples, ensuring accuracy and precision in data interpretation and reporting.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support research projects and provide analytical expertise and guidance.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Interpret and analyze experimental data, and generate concise reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and techniques in analytical chemistry, and propose innovative approaches to enhance research capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in conducting various analytical techniques, such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and microscopy.
- Strong knowledge of chemical analysis principles, methodology, and instrumentation.
- Proficient in data analysis software, such as Microsoft Excel or statistical analysis tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Prior experience in an academic or research setting is highly desirable.
