Cloud Data Engineer

To be successful in this Engineer role, you will have to be a team player capable of:

• writing and sharing data processing specs
• being fluent in Python and SQL to be able to implement those specs
• understanding and crunching Rest APIs
• proposing cloud and data architecture and discussing with cloud architects
• collaborating and communicating with experts of various disciplines internally and externally (e.g., data scientists, analysts, cloud architects, marketers, business consultants, martech strategists)

Tasks and responsibilities:

Work with 55, our client teams and customers to design and build the technical architecture in order to enable the implementation of new consumer experience & media use cases, using platforms such as Google Analytics 360 Suite, DoubleClick Suite, Data Management Platforms, Tag Management Solutions, Adobe Marketing & Analytics Clouds, CDPs, AWS, etc.

Work with 55 teams to fully specify and build data processing pipelines (database schemas, integrity constraints, delivery throughput) for use case activations and implement it in the cloud.

Collaborate with 55's data scientists to scope and check typical machine learning and AI project requirements.

Work with the U.S. consulting team to grow the consultants' knowledge in cloud engineering topics and help them communicate engineering or technical deliverables in ways that clients and stakeholders across disciplines can understand.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years experience in a similar capacity
• Significant experience and certified on public cloud products: GCP Cloud Architect / Data Engineer or equivalent on AWS / Azure. Snowflake experience a plus, but not required.
• Experience on cloud-based projects (as a technical project manager, developer or architect)
• DevOps capabilities (CI/CD, Infrastructure as code, Docker, etc.)
• Experience on leveraging digital data in the cloud for marketing activations
• Great communication skills and at ease with both marketing and IT teams, able to communicate technical requirements to non-technical clients
• Fluent in SQL and Python
• This role can be located in either New York, NY or Chicago, IL
• (Nice to have) Experience with Jupyter Notebooks
