Pickle is a rental marketplace. We seek to make fashion more affordable, sustainable, and accessible by enabling people to rent clothes directly from one another right in their city. Our unique peer-to-peer model allows Pickle to have the coolest and freshest fashion out there. And our same-day local courier delivery not only allows our users to find a last minute outfit when they’re “in a Pickle”, but also helps people avoid fast fashion & shop sustainably! Position Summary
We’re excited to offer a dynamic and hands-on role for a creative and detail-oriented individual. You’ll get a unique chance to contribute to scaling our platform both in New York and across other early markets. You’ll work closely with our Director of Operations and Community Manager to drive awareness, conversion and retention of our user base.
Hours: Full-time (9-5PM Monday-Friday). You can also anticipate additional hours (paid) to help support evening and weekend events.
Salary: $22/hour + $200/month in Pickle credits!
Key Responsibilities
Events + Activations
Events are a critical aspect to our community growth, and a key element of your role will be supporting the prep and execution of a variety of events. Here’s what you’ll own:
- Create promotional materials in Canva for event invites + socials
- Set up event RSVPs on platforms like Partiful and Posh
- Source attendees through cold-outreach on social media channels, and create email blasts to invite community members
- Draft pre- and post-event outreach emails
- Collaborate with the NYC Community Manager on event execution, including: location sourcing, invite creation, set-up + tear-down; Engage with attendees on-site and post-activation
- Identify ways to amplify events through UGC, word-of-mouth and owned social media
Email Creation
We engage with our community a lot via email, sharing inspo for what’s trending, educating users on what to upload now and inviting them to fun events. You’ll help create weekly emails to engage our users. Timely execution of these emails and high attention to detail is key here!
- Contribute ideas and source pieces to curate emails
- Manage the creation + execution of multiple emails / week
Order Fulfillment & Styling
We’re an early stage startup and are big on interacting directly with our customers. If they’re looking for a rental, we want to make sure they get one! You’ll be a critical part of this:
- Monitoring order fulfillment rates and conducting outreach to anyone with order issues
- Provide styling help to people who are looking for a rental, but need some inspo
- Proactive outreach to our user-base to help them with rentals for special occasions (eg. birthdays)
Influencer Outreach
Creators love using Pickle, and we love introducing them to our platform! You’ll help us keep this initiative in motion:
- Conducting weekly outreach to potential influencer partners
- Help launch new influencer closets on Pickle, including sourcing, uploading and social content creation
Ad Hoc Growth Initiatives *these will change based on need, but might include:
- Assisting with the creation of partnership pitch decks
- Conducting outreach to top users or top owners

Requirements
Required
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task with excellent follow through and task completion
- Problem solver, able to take initiative and work independently to produce quality results
- Experience with design platforms (ideally Canva, but experience with Figma or similar is great as well)
- Experience using GoogleSheets / Excel (we do a lot of tracking across these platforms, so you’ll need to be comfortable with these tools, however extensive formula experience is not required)
- Passion for fashion
Ideal
- Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Customer Success or related field or 1+ years of experience at an early-stage company
- Has experience with email marketing platforms (eg. Customer.io, Mailchimp, Brevo, etc)
- Experience working in marketing (eg. CRM, influencer marketing, digital marketing, social media, etc)
- Actively part of NYC communities where our target audience spends time (eg. NYU / Columbia / FIT grad, influencer groups, fashion communities, social clubs, etc.)
- Lives within our core operational area (Manhattan or Brooklyn)
