About the role:
The Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting Softheon’s mission by ensuring that our company’s operations and employees adhere to the laws, standards and guidelines that regulate the healthcare industry. The Compliance Analyst is responsible for auditing information to management through research and analysis, reporting, conducting risk assessments and proposing corrective action where necessary.
The Compliance Analyst assists the Director of Compliance in maintaining Softheon’s legal and ethical integrity. In this position, the Compliance Specialist will have the opportunity to grow as a subject matter expert in the ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of a business.
Requirements
You will:
• Support the Director of Compliance to design and strategize Softheon’s Compliance Program.
• Report compliance concerns to necessary stakeholders as well as government or federal agencies within required timeframes.
• Assist with various CMS or compliance related requests (i.e. weekly CMS call, ISA, CMS documentation package etc.)
• Collect and coordinate internal compliance data with auditors and internal departments for both external audits and client audits.
• Ensure complete, accurate and timely audit information is delivered to the stakeholders under tight deadlines.
• Provide oversight as needed for SLA Monthly Audit and facilitate for SLA related projects. Identify and assess areas of significant business risk or gaps and develop/discuss solutions to address these areas of concern.
• Assist with developing and maintaining internal documents, policies, and procedures (SOP and P&P).
• Assist with follow up actions related to audit and compliance findings that result from audits.
• Partner with other departments within the organization, such as Legal, IT, and Human Resources to ensure compliance with regulatory and company compliance control, compliance assurance, and compliance management standards.
• Assist with monthly SAM/OIG exclusion checks.
• Monthly Employee audits (separation, transfer etc.)
• Assist with implementation and administration of Audit board cross comply and policy module.
• Assist with research of compliance questions.
• Assist with maintaining documentation on Safebase trust center.
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in risk management, Law, Business, or another related field of study is required.
- 2 years of Compliance experience required
- Lean Six Sigma Greet Belt, and Certificate in Healthcare Compliance are preferred.
- Exceptional technical skills and proficiency in the use of MS Office tools, including MS Word, MX Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with an emphasis on formal documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Ability to dig deep into evidence or documents and be able to ask the right questions to employees or vendors.
- Ability to review, analyze, and track a high volume of information.
- Confident and professional with the ability to work on initiatives independently and as part of a team.
- Must work Eastern Time Zone
- 5% travel required
