Full Job Description

ABOUT US

We are Two Circles, the four-time UK Sport Industry Agency of the Year, and we are a sports marketing, data technology and content company.

We work with over 200 sports properties, including NFL, FIFA, Premier League, Amazon Prime Video, UEFA, F1, IOC, Paris 2024 and Wimbledon. Working as an extension of their commercial teams, we help them grow direct relationships with fans to drive business growth, as well as creating industry leading content for all platforms.

Data is at the center of our approach. It starts with helping clients to get a better understanding of their customers and deliver insights that influence top-level decision-making. From there, we develop and integrate data technology solutions that harness the latest in data visualization and machine-learning and provide digital marketing and rights-sales services that grow revenue across ticketing, premium, sponsorship and media.

Our creative approach and innovative ideas stand us out from the crowd. In doing so, we break down the traditional barriers between sporting organizations and their customers.

We currently have a growing team of over 600 Two Circlers based across Europe and North America. Our offices in New York, Kansas City, Miami and Los Angeles are rapidly expanding as our work with the NFL, FIFA, MLB, LA28 and several others continues apace.

About the Role:

We are looking for a social media channel manager to join our talented and growing content team in North America. The ideal candidate will know European and British domestic soccer well, its leagues, clubs, players and landscape – and social media inside out, with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of platforms and emerging digital trends. Moreover, our ideal candidate has their fingers on the pulse of culture in the US: what’s trending, what makes fans tick, how off-the-pitch American moments can influence fandom and serve as gateways to learning more and becoming a fan.

This role will be located in New York City and is an in-person (not remote) role based in our Two Circles office.

Salary is $70,000 - $90,000

Role Summary:

  • Execute real-time and planned social media output across our client’s US-focused social accounts, both during and outside of live events (European soccer calendar)
  • Channel and community management, content planning and creation
  • Creative ideation, big and small, on a consistent basis
  • Daily collaboration across both internal teams in the US and UK, as well as externally with our client and any associated partners (broadcasters, clubs, etc.)
  • Produce content which complements our clients' wider global output
  • Deliver long and short-term social media campaigns and
    initiatives
  • Excellent community management to further enhance engagement
  • Produce short-form social-first video edits and, when needed, templated graphics
  • Research and report content performance for internal and external requirements

About You:

  • The ideal background and skills we are looking for include:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in channel management and social
coverage of live sports events, either concurrently with full-time education or in a professional setting
  • Understanding of brand sensitivity and how important tone of voice is
  • Organized, team-player, and comfortable/experienced excelling within a thriving, live sports working environment.
  • Experience working on digital content for sports leagues, teams, tournaments or a broadcasters/streamer is preferable
  • Strong knowledge of social media landscape (all major social platforms)  in the US to ensure our content is optimized for each platform
  • Ability to come up with original content ideas and spot developing trends
    and opportunities
  • Understanding and awareness of social media analytics, especially in helping to guide content strategy
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • First-class editorial judgement and adherence to brand safety
  • Mobile-specific video content creation skills
  • Must be able to work weekends, willing to work an occasional week night, and be flexible about working patterns
  • The following would also be beneficial:
  • Experience of using Adobe Suite (inc Premiere), video clipping tools (Grabyo, WSC) and social creation tools (Canva, Slate etc.)
  • Spanish speaking is preferred, but not required.
