Full Job Description
We are in search of a Cook to ensure that the kitchen area of our supermarket is well-maintained and running efficiently. You will provide assistance with the preparation of food and are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of dishes, work stations, and food storage facilities.
A successful Cook should be able to perform various duties and responsibilities.
Cook Responsibilities:
- Cook various dishes according to the chef’s recipes
- Cleaning all dishes, work stations, cooking equipment, and food storage areas in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Receive, lift, handle and store food deliveries
- Retrieve food items as requested by chefs
- Assist with food preparation which includes fish, salads, sides, soups, sandwiches, salads and more
- Wash dishes, pots and utensils
- Ensure working areas are kept clear
Cook Requirements:
- Ability to work fast, but in an efficient and controlled manner
- Ability to operate as a team member and get along with others
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to accept supervisory training related to performance, attitude, and work habits
- Ability to perform strenuous physical duties such as lifting, walking, and standing for long periods
- Good communication and people skills.
Kitchen Experience is a Plus
