Custodian

LIFE Trusts is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our staff and students. Your role will involve performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the building, ensuring that all areas are tidy and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have prior custodial experience, excellent attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas on a daily basis
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
• Dust and wipe down surfaces
• Empty trash and recycling bins
• Restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or repairing minor fixtures
• Assist with setting up and breaking down equipment and furniture for meetings or events

Requirements

• Prior custodial experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
• Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent
