Full Job Description
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Member Data Analyst that will be responsible for the following:
Data Analytics Product Support:
- Conduct customer-facing analyses to provide insights into customer behavior and trends.
- Refine and process procurement spend data for accurate and reliable analysis.
- Create insightful reports and Tableau dashboards to effectively communicate data-driven insights.
- Act as a key internal resource for the Member Engagement team, providing insights and support related to report outputs.
- Promote uniform messaging across the organization regarding data products.
- Develop and deliver training programs, mentorship, and monitoring initiatives to ensure consistent and high-quality delivery of data products.
- Execute monthly maintenance tasks for data sources and tools essential for product output.
- Support the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product strategy.
Spend Data Management:
- Oversee data management activities pertaining to spend data repository.
- Conduct a monthly refresh of data in the spend data repository, including loading, testing, cleansing, enriching, and categorizing spend data files. Note: This function is slated to be automated in the future.
- Collaborate with designated Spend Analytics/Solutions providers and IT on projects to enhance the functionality and efficiency of the internal spend data repository.
- Work collaboratively with multiple third-party vendors to gather, cleanse, categorize, and enrich procurement spend data, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Create market extrapolations analysis for E&I Staff, leveraging the data stored in the repository to provide valuable insights.
- Provide spend data reports to internal stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making that is aligned with company goals.
- Perform quarterly audits of data with the Category Team to ensure proper and current categorization of data, maintaining data quality standards.
- Work closely with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the internal repository, ensuring continuous functionality.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Business degree or equivalent; business side of Information Systems considered.
- Minimum 7 years in a business-related field with strong quantitative skills.
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient in Microsoft Access, PowerPoint and Word.
- Highly proficient in Tableau; Tableau Certified Data Analyst Certification preferred.
- Practical experience with Python libraries for data analysis such as Pandas, NumPy, and Fuzzywuzzy.
- Understanding of data structuring, sampling, analysis, and visualization techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively, demonstrating leadership through influence.
- Flexibility and openness to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
- Strong attention to detail; commitment to high accuracy.
- Working knowledge of procurement function a plus.
- Requires 15% travel.
