 The intern in this position will work closely with the home entertainment / digital distribution team. We are seeking proactive, passionate and motivated students eager to attain hands-on experience within the independent film landscape through the lens of a distribution company. Our Internship Program is immersive and offers a unique and valuable opportunity for you to showcase your skills, creativity, and insights while gaining hands-on experience. The program is designed to provide exposure to various aspects of film distribution, including marketing, publicity, sales, and acquisitions. Responsibilities

• Coordinate the timely delivery of captivating creative materials.
• Manage metadata resources and internally communicate to ensure the accuracy of all fields (synopsis, cast, MPA rating, etc.).
• Stay updated on the quantitative updates and trends in the competitive landscape of the TVOD, SVOD, and AVOD spaces.
• Assist in monitoring platform placement on VOD/EST release dates.
• Keep direct-to-consumer websites up-to-date with various materials, including artwork and metadata (Video Store, Merch Store, Marketing, etc.)
• Handle invoice processing.
• Conduct research on marketing and distribution plans to develop a strong understanding of the competitive landscape; create case study decks showcasing past successful releases.

Compensation

Please note the following exciting details about this fantastic internship opportunity:

• Our internships are not only paid but also offer a minimum duration of 12 weeks, providing you with ample time to gain valuable experience. You will have the flexibility to choose from several fixed start dates, either in May or June 2024, so you can easily fit it into your school calendar. Plus, we offer an incredibly competitive hourly rate of $16.04 per hour!
• Get ready for an immersive experience! This is a part-time, onsite role that will require your presence at our NEON office in Soho, New York. As we value your commitment to learning and growing, we prefer candidates who can be available 2-3 full days a week, working approximately 16-24 hours per week.

To be eligible for this internship, you must be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (Spring/Fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently be participating in a NEON Internship.

• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and analytical writing skills are essential
• We highly encourage candidates with prior internship or working experience in communications or public relations to apply

Apart from the above requirements, you must be proficient with Photoshop and Premiere. You should also have a working knowledge of both Google and Microsoft Office suites.
