Title: Director of Marketing – Ithaca Hummus

We're seeking a passionate and creative Director of Marketing to lead our brand's growth.

Role Overview: As the Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive sales growth by generating product trial, brand awareness, and consumer retention. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives and ensure consistency in messaging and branding. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and a deep understanding of consumer behavior and market trends.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a brand strategy and execute integrated marketing plans to drive product trial, brand awareness, and retention.
  2. Cultivate and lead a cohesive effort across the marketing team and cross functionally to systemize and continually optimize our growth tactics and results.
  3. Create short-, medium-, and long-term organizational plans for the marketing department.
  4. Conduct ongoing research to refine our target market and our understanding of what drives purchase intent in our category and for our brand/products.
  5. Build an annual marketing calendar aligned with our sales plans and retailer specific goals and opportunities.
  6. Lead the development of brand positioning, messaging, and creative assets that resonate with our target audience and differentiate us in the market.
  7. Collaborate with product development teams to bring new products to market, from concept ideation to launch strategy.
  8. Drive digital marketing initiatives, including email marketing, social media, influencer partnerships, retailer media, and other performance marketing campaigns.
  9. Utilize data-driven insights to optimize marketing campaigns, improve ROI, and drive continuous improvement.
  10.  Manage the brand's social media presence, content strategy, and community engagement efforts to foster brand loyalty and advocacy.
  11. Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  12. Build and nurture relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors to support marketing initiatives and maximize resources.
  13. Establish KPIs and metrics to track the effectiveness of marketing efforts, providing regular reporting and insights to key stakeholders.
  14. Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the CPG industry, with a proven track record of driving brand growth and visibility.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and ability to translate insights into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Deep understanding of relevant marketing channels, specifically retail media, social media, email, and word of mouth marketing.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and external partners to execute integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and inspire others.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand building.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to roll up sleeves and execute hands-on when needed.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Benefits

Salary: $150,000 - $180,000

Bonus Potential: 15% of base salsary
