Assembly is looking for a 18-26 weeks commitment to step into a Director, Omnichannel Media Architecture role to sit in our New York or Los Angeles office, or remote for the right candidate. The Director would be a member of Assembly’s Insights & Connections team. This is a growing community of Comms and Media Architects dedicated to the art and science of audience first omnichannel solutions.
The primary role for this Director of Omnichannel Media Architecture role is to lead development of smart media strategies and channel plans for several healthcare clients: Elevance Health, a leading insurance company, with ambitions of building a brand that goes beyond healthcare and integrates into their customers whole health plans, Medtronic, a health tech and medical device company with aspirations of leading the space in innovation and Inogen, a company with a portable oxygen concentrator offering that aims to bring freedom and independence to consumers.
Responsibilities:
- Turns omnichannel strategy into plan architecture that is designed for impact and worded for memorability
- Builds out media principles (e.g. "from to" framework") that guide how we go to market and delivers on strategic intent
- Analyze media behaviors of high-value audiences, identify the most effective touchpoints to reach target audiences, and develop strategies that optimize the smart orchestration of media
- Champion the media blueprint to ensure it translates to clear media activations
- Lead budget setting tasks and omnichannel mix guidance for local market activations
- Elevate strategic recommendations within wrap reports, competitive analysis and other on-going deliverables
- Lead thought leadership pieces and identify media implications
- Partner with Client Account Team to ensure deliverables meet client expectations, needs and timelines Collaborates on the development of actionable insights and omnichannel strategy by identifying & synthetization key data points across audiences and media
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience
- Experience with local planning and regulated industries a plus
- Exceptional storytelling skills; both in writing and presenting a strategic narrative
- Brand and performance media chops across all channels
- Proficient mining syndicated data (MRI, YouGov, Helixa, Google trends)
- Ability to leverage tools (i.e. Commspoint) and strategic thinking to build complex budget and mix scenarios
- Comms planning and Consumer Journey development experience is a plus

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $100-150USD. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
