Electrical Engineering Intern - Energy & Commissioning

We are seeking an electrical engineering intern to join the Energy & Commissioning team at LaBella. The role will comprise the analysis and design of commercial and community-scale photovoltaic systems to be installed on rooftops or ground-mounted. The engineer will work as part of the electrical renewable energy team as well as coordination with other engineering disciplines. The engineer will be trained in the use of field-specific software applicable to PV array design and electrical interconnections.

Duties

• Production of design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit toolsets
• Generate models of solar arrays using solar-modeling software programs
• Assist with electrical calculations for low and medium-voltage electrical systems
• Perform site visits with senior staff
• Work as part of a team to meet challenging deadlines

Salary Range: $17 - $20 per hour

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, engineering technology, energy engineering or related program
• Knowledge of solar PV generation
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Experience in the construction industry a plus
