Our Engineering team is growing!

As an Engineering Manager at Vitally, you will have the opportunity to grow as both a software engineer and an engineering leader. In this role, you’ll join Vitally’s growing engineering organization to lead mission-critical projects from end to end, contribute to product strategy, and lead a team of world-class engineers. You will be reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer/Co-founder.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 4-6 engineers to develop, test, and maintain high-quality software.
  • Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.
  • Coach and mentor engineers on the team to further their professional development.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and other Engineering managers to plan product and business strategy.
  • Participate in the full development cycle: design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch. You’ll be reviewing code, giving feedback on product specs/mocks, and generally helping out wherever is needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years managing high-performing, senior engineering teams.
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer developing user-facing applications.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and best practices.
  • BONUS:
    • Strong opinions on what makes a good software product.
    • Experience working closely with designers and product managers.
    • Clear business impact through the launch of successful product initiatives requiring multiple engineers.

  • Salary: We offer a competitive salary for your experience as well as location.
    • The comp band for this role starts at $210,000 and increases depending on the skill and seniority of the candidate.
