Full Job Description
ESC Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing estimates, and ensuring accurate cost assessments for our construction projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to understand project requirements and scope.
- Conduct detailed take-offs of materials, labor, and equipment needed for project estimates.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to gather and analyze cost data for accurate estimation.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive and detailed project estimates, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs.
- Analyze and evaluate bid proposals from subcontractors and vendors to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Maintain a database of cost information and historical data to support accurate estimating.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather relevant information and assess project risks.
- Assist in the development and preparation of project budgets and cost control measures.
- Stay updated with industry trends, construction methodologies, and pricing to ensure competitiveness in estimating.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and labor costs.
- Ability to create accurate and detailed project estimates within tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Salary
$143,000 - $178,465 a year
