We're looking for proactive, passionate, and motivated individuals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the independent film industry, specifically in distribution. Designed to provide exposure to various aspects of film distribution, such as marketing, publicity, sales, and acquisitions, this collaborative internship will shape your career interests and set you up for future success.
But that's not all! As an intern, you'll have the chance to receive mentorship from industry professionals who are deeply passionate about supporting the next generation of filmmakers and industry leaders.
Compensation
Please note the following details about this internship opportunity:
- Our internships are paid and offer a minimum duration of 12 weeks, providing you with ample time to gain valuable experience. As we value your commitment to learning and growing, we prefer candidates who can be available 2-3 full days a week, working approximately 16-24 hours per week. You will have the flexibility to choose your schedule so you can easily fit it into your school calendar. Plus, we offer an incredibly competitive hourly rate of $16.90 per hour!
- Get ready for an immersive experience. This is a part-time, onsite role that will require your presence at our NEON offices in Soho, New York, or Los Angeles, California. As we value your commitment to learning and growing, we prefer candidates who can be available 2-3 full days a week, working approximately 16-24 hours per week.
Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, you must be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (Spring/Fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently be participating in a NEON Internship.

- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Google Docs and Excel
- Highly collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Culturally literate, engaged with a knack for research, and familiarity with social media platforms and creators
- Knowledge of current film trends and industry news
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts, solve problems, and implement solutions
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and analytical writing skills are essential
- We highly encourage candidates with prior internship or working experience in communications or public relations to apply
