A floor manager at Happier Grocery and café is responsible for overseeing daily operations. This includes managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. They may also handle scheduling, resolve customer issues, and collaborate with other departments for efficient overall functioning. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide floor staff, ensuring they deliver exceptional customer service.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal inventory.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring a positive shopping or dining experience.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, from opening to closing, adhering to established procedures.
- Maintain a tidy and well-organized store or cafe environment, overseeing cleanliness standards.
- Create and manage employee schedules, considering workload and business requirements.
- Conduct training sessions for new hires, focusing on product knowledge and service standards.
- Handle issues such as customer complaints, staff conflicts, or operational challenges promptly and effectively.
- Work closely with other departments, like procurement and marketing, to optimize overall business efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in the retail or food industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective team coordination and customer interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
- Dedication to providing excellent customer service and resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Adaptability to changing situations and a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Effective problem-solving skills to address issues promptly and find practical solutions.
- Familiarity with grocery or cafe products and trends, including basic knowledge of food safety regulations.
