Full Job Description
As the Fulfillment Manager, you will lead and inspire our outbound team to deliver on Ship Essential’s high standards. You will be responsible for ensuring all operations meet our service level agreements (SLA), with a focus on managing custom requirements from our diverse brands. This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong background in managing large teams, holding them accountable to the highest standards, while fostering a culture of growth and excellence. We’re looking for someone entrepreneurial, driven by what’s best for the business, and excited to help build a better 3PL company rooted in city-based warehouses.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the outbound team, holding them accountable for achieving performance goals and ensuring adherence to custom brand requirements.
- Analyze and optimize warehouse workflows, from material handling to inventory management, driving efficiency and productivity improvements.
- Adjust labor plans regularly to align with fluctuating demand, ensuring capacity is met without overextending resources.
- Oversee picking and packing teams, managing throughput by balancing workloads to prevent bottlenecks at key points, especially in packing.
- Implement process improvements, focusing on equipment upkeep, throughput optimization, and resolving order issues while maintaining SLA compliance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to ensure smooth operations and quick resolution of brand-specific issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations, applying best practices to enhance overall warehouse performance.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in managing large teams and holding them accountable.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and drive high performance.
- Strong analytical and process optimization capabilities.
- Knowledge of warehousing and logistics systems.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to make business-driven decisions.
- Expertise in logistics and supply chain management.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within logistics or supply chain, managing complex operations.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and ensure seamless collaboration between departments.
- Experience in process engineering or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), with a focus on optimizing workflows and eliminating bottlenecks.
