What are we looking for?
We're looking for a Head of HR to ensure that all human resources (HR) operations are carried out smoothly and effectively. You will be responsible for developing HR strategies and providing sound advice to senior management on all related subjects. You should be able to manage programs and lead staff while also possessing a strong strategic mindset.
As a key position reporting to Director of Operations, we are looking for candidates who possess strong leadership qualities, strategic thinking abilities, and effective people management skills. The position is based in the US but involves supervising operations in the UK as well, so experience or knowledge across multiple regions would be particularly advantageous. Our objective is to enhance the significance of strategic HR within our organization and ensure the long-term success of both our HR function and the company as a whole.

Requirements
What will you be doing?
- Collaborate with management team to craft the company’s vision and mission
- Strong ability to drive the company culture of a distributed, remote working, Fintech startup
- Develop strategic HR plans and policies (recruitment, training, compensation etc.)
- Hands-on: ready to design & implement efficient process & procedures from the ground up; own then automate/minimize administrative tasks
- Decide and act on initiatives for equal opportunity, diversity etc.
- Ensure all procedures comply with legal regulations and best practices
- Manage internal communication projects (like job satisfaction surveys)
- Measure the effectiveness of our benefits programs and recommend improvements
- 3rd parties: use to working with external service providers for scaled efficiency (PEO, legal, recruitment, cloud services/apps)
- Facilitate employee-engagement programs and assist with planning team building activities, offsite meetings, and holiday/event gatherings
- Prepare reports for senior management using business metrics and KPIs
What you need to bring
- 10+ year's experience, ideally with a combo of established & new/startup companies
- Experience in strategic planning and implementation
- Deep knowledge of HR functions (talent management, recruitment etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
- Excellent organization and leadership abilities
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems including payroll tools
- A business acumen partnered with attention to the human element
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use metrics and analytics

Annual salary: $150,000 to 210,000 DOE
