The Role: In this role, you will oversee employee and labor relations HR compliance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with labor laws. This role is pivotal in supporting day-to-day operations and strategic HR initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Training (upskilling/reskilling), coaching, and development of Cover Whale’s employees in leadership, compliance, career pathing, etc.
- Spearhead and streamline process-improvement initiatives and leverage Monday.com, our HRIS, and other tools for process automation and optimization.
- Develop, facilitate, and administer employee relations and risk management matters in a timely manner, being solution-oriented in approach.
- Handle routine and complex labor relations and HR inquiries, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Strive to eradicate redundancies in process/procedures as we continue to scale post-Series A capital raise.
- Partner up with the Senior Talent Operations Partner to enhance workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and task assignments. Work together to streamline and improve existing HR programs, including onboarding, offboarding, payroll, leave of absence (LOA) management, benefits administration, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Perform HR compliance audits and enhance/refine handbook policies and procedures through regular quarterly review audits.
- Collaborate with the Chief People Officer (CPO) on preparing for quarterly board meetings, including reporting and people analytics as required. Strengthen the team's ability to tell compelling stories (and sell ideas) through data/metrics.
- Act as a liaison between employees and management to address concerns regarding performance, disciplinary actions, and conflict management.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4-7 years of experience in HR roles
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
Benefits
Compensation ranges from $45-$58 per hour ($93,600-120,640/year)
No benefits are offered for the duration of the contract.
