About the Role
RTM is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our People’s department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR and Benefits strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. They will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes, including employee relations, performance management, onboarding new hires, benefits, off-boarding employees, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. They will consult with our executive team and serve as a link between RTM’s management and employees.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based at our New York City office. The HR Generalist will report directly to the VP of Operations, and will collaborate closely with department managers and executives.
Requirements
- Strategic HR Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and retention.
- Employee Relations: Includes conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances. Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement and morale.
- Performance Management: Help develop and implement performance management systems to ensure employees are meeting job expectations and objectives. Provide coaching and support to managers and employees to improve performance.
- Payroll: Overseeing the processing and approval of payroll with the Finance team.
- Training and Development: Help identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities. Aid to implement career development initiatives to support employee growth and advancement.
- Compensation and Benefits: Manage the compensation and benefits programs, including salary administration, employee benefits, and incentive plans. Ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.
- HR Policies and Compliance: Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Stay up-to-date on relevant legislation and advise management on HR compliance matters.
- HR Administration: Oversee HR administrative functions, including record-keeping and HRIS management. Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of employee data. Reporting on key business performance metrics and creating a roadmap to drive towards goals. This roadmap includes driving technology to drive more efficient processes.
- Company Events: Manage and drive the calendar of events for team building (happy hours and retreats), associate resource groups (celebrating cultures), volunteer events (hosted by RTM or in partnership with non-profits or foundations), and donations.
- Manage our NY office including the receptionist, supplies, and overall up-keep.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience as an HR manager or similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- SHRM CP recommended
- ADP experience
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary $90,000 base + bonuses
